Rohini Kosoglu is a Senior Advisor at the Stanford Mussallem Center for Biodesign and former Deputy Assistant to the President and Domestic Policy Advisor to the Vice President. For more than two decades, she has held senior leadership roles across the White House and Congress, including as Chief of Staff in the United States Senate. During her Senate tenure, she led negotiations and drafting on the Breakthrough Therapy designation and other major reforms enacted in the FDA Safety and Innovation Act, including pharmaceutical supply-chain safety provisions. She went on to lead negotiations on key 21st Century Cures Act provisions advancing genetically targeted therapies for rare diseases, breakthrough medical devices, and digital health.

Kosoglu is Co-Founder and Board Chair of The DAND Alliance, a patient-founded nonprofit working to advance therapies for DEAF1-Associated Neurodevelopmental Disorder, an ultra-rare genetic condition affecting one of her three sons. She is also a Venture Partner at Fusion Fund, focused on early-stage investments, and a former Policy Fellow at the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence and Resident Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School’s Institute of Politics. She received her bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree from George Washington University.
