The event features a conversation between Michael Chernew, former MedPAC chair, and Paragon’s Demetrios Kouzoukas, former Medicare director.

This event will feature a conversation between Michael Chernew, former chair of the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC), and Paragon’s Demetrios Kouzoukas, former director of Medicare at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) from 2017 to 2021.

MedPAC is a legislative agency that reviews Medicare payment policy to make recommendations to Congress. MedPAC’s mission includes assessing Medicare’s efficiency, quality, and access, as well as its impact on health care delivery generally. MedPAC’s work is widely cited by lawmakers, researchers, and policy analysts in discussions of Medicare reforms.

Join us for a timely and important discussion as Mike and Demetrios draw from their experiences as Medicare leaders to discuss Medicare reforms past, present, and future, including MedPAC’s work and how it goes about it, what drives changes to Medicare, and current opportunities for reform.
