Roy Ramthun is a nationally recognized expert on Health Savings Accounts and consumer-directed health care issues. He has over 30 years of health care and public policy experience, both in government and in the private sector. He led the U.S. Treasury Department’s implementation of HSAs after they were enacted into law in 2003 before serving as health policy advisor to President George W. Bush at the White House.

As Founder and President of HSA Consulting Services, Ramthun continues to be an advocate for consumerism in health care and is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars around the country. He is also widely quoted in major newspapers and trade publications.

Ramthun holds a Master of Science degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Michigan.
