Brief info

Nic Horton is a research fellow for the Paragon Health Institute. During his career, Nic has done political & policy work in roughly half the country, having testified before legislative committees and worked with governors in roughly a dozen states. His original research and analysis has been highlighted in the Wall Street Journal, Fox News, Forbes, National Review Online, the Washington Examiner, and Townhall, among other national outlets. Nic has also appeared on numerous talk radio shows across the country.

Nic was most recently Research Director for the Foundation for Government Accountability (FGA), building the organization’s research department from the ground up and securing dozens of policy wins as a policy advocate in his home state of Arkansas. Much of Nic’s research portfolio at FGA focused on ObamaCare’s disastrous Medicaid expansion, food stamp reform, and disability policy.

Previously, Nic founded & built one of the leading conservative news sites in the South before serving as the editor of the largest policy news site in Arkansas, The Arkansas Project. Much of Nic’s journalistic work focused on accountability, wasteful spending, lack of transparency, tax hikes, Medicaid expansion, and occupational licensing.

Nic happily resides in Conway, Arkansas with his wife Leah and two children. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration and a Master of Business Administration, both from Harding University.
