AI are the initials for Artificial Intelligence, a collection of sophisticated software technologies that employ algorithms and statistical inferencing techniques to mimic the learning and reasoning of the human mind. These technologies, such as convolutional neural networks and generative adversarial networks, can be quite different from one another and present very different benefits and risks.
AI has been increasingly adopted in health care and powers medical tools such as virtual medical assistants and other types of chatbots. It has also been used with great success in the interpretation of medical imaging for disease prediction and detection.
